USPEaK believes its mission to empower women through teaching English begins first by empowering instructors through intensive and comprehensive best practices to equip them in the classroom. A full-day workshop was conducted by Scott Chiverton, Regional English Language Officer for Bahrain, Kuwait, the U.A.E., Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, and Lebanon, on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

Scott led the USPEaK instructors in a series of lively and engaging workshops of activities and games in teaching and learning. The activities and games came from Activate:  Games for Learning American English.  The modeling and practice of several of these games was something of great value, since many teachers are unfamiliar with games or how to use them to engage their learners and enhance their lessons.
