Democratic Trust Initiative

Democratic Trust Initiative empowers young people to become informed and active participants in Lebanon’s democratic and civic life. Implemented by USPEaK in Baalbeck and the Bekaa, in partnership with the Arab Center for the Development of the Rule of Law and Integrity (ACRLI) in the Inclusive Democracy Partnership and with the support of the European Union, the initiative creates spaces where youth can learn, engage in dialogue, and translate their ideas into civic action.

Through interactive trainings, discussions, and youth-led activities, participants explore democratic trust, civic and political participation, and responsible citizenship.

By bringing together youth from diverse backgrounds and giving them the knowledge and space to express their perspectives, the Democratic Trust Initiative contributes to a more inclusive civic space in which young people can play an active role in shaping their communities and Lebanon’s democratic future.
