Community Services led by women

  • TWE Byblos class participated in the World Environment Day. They worked on beating plastic pollution by cleaning part of Byblos shore. They implemented this activity in partnership with the municipality of Jbeil and the Lebanese Red Cross.
  • TWE ladies of Aintoura class are working on a project on reusing and recycling instead of throwing unneeded items and saving the environment. The project ended with a sustainable public exhibit on the land of the municipality with a big opening.
  • TWE Sarafand participated in the World Environment and they were part of the Big Blue Campaign that aimed at cleaning the shores. The ladies cleaned the shore of Sarafand.
  • TWE Kfardebian prepared a dinner for the students of the boarding school of Mar Mansour Charity Foundation
  • TWE Machta Hasan participated in field day for the kids on Eid Al Fetr. They distributed cards and painted the faces of the kids. They brought additional joy to the kids
  • TWE Wadi Khaled organized a Kermes for kids with the coordination of our implementing partner where they entertained them and conducted an awareness session on Kids Rights and inclusive participation in Akkar
  • TWE Baakline visited the nursing home in Ain W Zain Hospital and spent time with the elderly. A tree was offered as a gift to be planted in the center’s garden.
  • TWE Kamed Al Lawz gathered money to bring gifts and clothes to kids at Al Basira and Al Hayat orphan centers for Syrian kids who suffer from certain health issues and brought them the joy of Eid al Feter.
  • Rashaya class engaged in social events and activities. They, with the help of our partner in the municipality, brainstormed ideas on how to have an effective means of participation in the community. They came up with ideas for summer festivals. They organized the World Cup Festival in Rashaya. They organized the live streaming for some of the games where women prepared some refreshments to be sold and they raised some money as part of the empowerment. In addition, Rashaya visited women’s Coops and agreed to start visiting the center routinely and to encourage the women in these domains.
